Instrumentation and Control Technician
Measuring and controlling pressure, flow, level and temperature reliably is your core task as an instrumentation and control technician at the Machelen site. You work on a permanent contract for an employer in power plants and process installations and keep the production process safe and efficient. You calibrate instruments, test control valves and interlocks and troubleshoot down to PLC and DCS signals.
What you'll do
- Maintain and calibrate pressure, flow, level and temperature measurements
- Test control valves and actuators for correct operation
- Test safeguards and interlocks so the installation stays safe
- Troubleshoot field equipment, wiring and PLC/DCS signals
- Document all your interventions in an accurate way
- Take part in overhauls and improvement projects on site
What you bring
- You have a technical degree in instrumentation, automation or electromechanics
- You have hands-on experience with industrial instrumentation
- You work comfortably with electrical schematics
- You work independently and organise your own interventions
- You think and act with safety first in a process environment
- You are willing to join the standby or breakdown service
