Technician Brake Systems
As a Brake Systems Technician in the Brasschaat workshop, you maintain and test the pneumatic and electromechanical brake systems of rolling stock. You work directly for an employer in railway maintenance and mobility. You dismantle, repair and assemble brake components according to work instructions and carry out pressure, leak and function tests. You learn any railway techniques that are new to you through paid training.
What you'll do
- Dismantle and inspect brake components according to the work instructions
- Repair brake components and reassemble them accurately
- Carry out pressure, leak and function tests on the brake systems
- Record the measurement results of every test
- Trace defects and consult with work preparation about deviations
- Contribute to order, safety and continuous improvement in the workshop
What you bring
- You have a technical diploma in mechanics, electromechanics, vehicle technology or equivalent
- You work accurately when assembling and taking measurements
- You consistently follow the safety procedures in the workshop
