Mechanical Design Engineer
As a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Antwerp South region, you turn customer requirements into reliable, manufacturable and safe mechanical solutions. You work on a permanent contract in an international technology environment on the southern edge of Antwerp, with hybrid working options. You create 3D designs, production drawings and bills of materials and back up your choices with calculations, manufacturability checks and risk analyses. You then oversee the technical implementation of the design, in close collaboration with production, purchasing and external suppliers.
What you'll do
- Translate technical specifications into feasible concepts and component choices
- Create 3D designs, production drawings and bills of materials
- Back up your design choices with risk analyses, manufacturability checks and calculations
- Support production and assembly with technical questions and deviations
- Align technical details with purchasing and external suppliers
- Contribute to standardisation, documentation and long-term product improvements
What you bring
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in electromechanics, mechanical engineering or a comparable field
- You have experience with 3D CAD and technical drawing, from your studies or in practice
- You are strong in analysis and problem solving
- You work well with colleagues from different disciplines
- You have a good professional command of English, and Dutch is a clear plus
