Logistics team leader
The leader who keeps warehouse and goods flows running daily: steering people, guarding priorities and solving problems before they reach the customer.
As a logistics team leader you steer a team of warehouse workers, forklift drivers or operators in receiving, storage, order picking or dispatch. You divide the work, guard safety and quality, and switch between the floor and planning when the day goes differently than planned.
Logistics is automating fast, but that only makes the team leader more important: someone has to connect people, systems and exceptions. Strong team leaders are in high demand, especially in food, e-commerce and production logistics, and it is one of the fastest routes into operational management.

Frequently asked questions
What does a logistics team leader earn in Belgium?
Roughly 3,200 to 4,600 euros gross per month, depending on experience, team size and sector. Shift systems add premiums on top. E-commerce and food logistics usually pay at the top of the range.
Can I become a team leader without a degree?
Yes: many team leaders grew up from the floor, via warehouse worker or operator. Employers mainly look at what you show: taking initiative, helping colleagues, being reliable in reporting. An internal or external people management course smooths the step afterwards.
What is the difference with a warehouse supervisor?
The team leader steers one team or zone operationally and is largely on the floor. A supervisor or shift leader oversees multiple teams or a full shift, works more with KPIs and planning, and is the next step in the growth path.
