Three tips for your quality engineer job ad
Name the standards framework you work in, such as IATF, BRC or GMP. That experience does not simply transfer, so candidates select themselves on that single line.
Write how management looks at quality. A quality engineer does not want to be a brake, but a partner of production.
Be concrete about the audits: which ones, how often and what role the engineer plays in them. That is what candidates measure their experience against.
Is it a bottleneck profession?
Yes. VDAB lists "Verantwoordelijke kwaliteitscontrole" on the 2026 list of bottleneck professions. Cause according to VDAB: too few job seekers available on the labour market; candidates lack the right experience or training
