Three tips for your supply chain planner job ad
Name the ERP and the planning tool. A planner working in a full system wants to know whether this means loose spreadsheets.
Describe your production environment: do you make to order or to stock, and how wide is the range being planned? Every sector plans differently.
Write how much influence the planner has on the rules of the game. Good planners do not just want to execute what sales has already promised.
Is it a bottleneck profession?
Yes. VDAB lists "Productieplanner" on the 2026 list of bottleneck professions. Cause according to VDAB: too few job seekers available on the labour market; candidates lack the right experience or training
