CAM Programmer CNC & Machine Building
For a family-owned manufacturer near Mechelen that builds and maintains a large part of its own machines in an in-house technical workshop, we're looking for a CAM Programmer. You turn drawings and 3D models into working CNC programs for machine building, maintenance and prototypes. You also operate the CNC, turning and milling machines yourself in the workshop in Mechelen. A hybrid role of programmer and operator, with one-offs and moulds rather than pure series production.
What you'll do
- Convert technical drawings and CAD models into CAM and CNC programs
- Define the machining sequence, clamping, tooling and cutting conditions
- Program parts for machine building, repairs, maintenance and prototypes
- Make moulds for series production
- Simulate and check programs, support the operators and document the settings
- Operate CNC, turning and milling machines yourself
What you bring
- A technical education (secondary technical, bachelor or equivalent) or equivalent experience
- Experience with CNC programming, CAM software, CNC milling and turning
- Knowledge of technical drawings, CAD, materials, clamping, tooling and simulation
- Analytical, precise, independent and a strong communicator
What you get
- Varied work with one-offs, prototypes and moulds
- Room for your own programming and design choices
- Visible results in the workshop
- Collaboration and growth opportunities in a family business
