Senior Production Supervisor
For a family-owned manufacturer near Mechelen with its own machine park and international sales, we're looking for a Senior Production Supervisor. You coach the production team leaders in their role as managers and are present on the shop floor every day. This is not a role to lead from a distance: you stand among the people in Mechelen. You translate decisions to the shop floor and feed signals back to management.
What you'll do
- Coach the production team leaders in their role as managers
- Follow up the development and performance of the operators together with the team leaders
- Ensure clear expectations, feedback and working agreements
- Map training needs and bring in internal experts
- Translate decisions and changes to the shop floor and feed signals back
- Address employees when agreements, behaviour or performance require it
- Follow up actions until they deliver real results
What you bring
- Experience leading operational staff or production teams
- Bachelor level or equivalent through experience
- People-oriented and results-oriented, you communicate clearly
- You take on coaching conversations and difficult conversations
- No technical specialist needed, but enough understanding of a production environment to recognise problems
