Production manager (m/f/x)

At [company] you run daily production together with your team leaders and shifts. You watch output, quality and safety and take the decisions the floor needs.

What you will do

  • Steer daily production across one or more shifts
  • Guard and adjust output, quality and safety targets
  • Plan staffing and coach team leaders
  • Drive continuous improvement on the floor, from 5S to OEE trajectories
  • Form the link between shop floor, planning, maintenance and management

Who you are

  • Leadership experience in a production environment, or a strong team leader ready for the next step
  • Technical insight into the processes you steer
  • Strong with people: motivating, holding difficult conversations and enforcing agreements
  • Numerically skilled: reading and steering on OEE, scrap and occupation
  • Stress-resistant: when a line stops, everyone looks at you

What we offer

  • A gross monthly salary between €3,800 and €5,400, depending on your experience as a production manager
  • A package that reflects the shift work: to be discussed
  • Staffing of your shifts and support from the plant manager: to be discussed

You fill in what is "to be discussed" yourself. We add no benefits we do not know; the pay range is a market indication, not a pay scale.

Three tips for your production manager job ad

  1. Write how many people and shifts the production manager leads. Without that information a candidate cannot weigh the step.
  2. Show that the plant manager backs the production manager in difficult decisions. Managers who are settled only move for more support and a clearer mandate.
  3. Be honest about staffing. A realistic shift strength is an important argument for experienced production managers.
