What you need to know
- In companies without a union delegation the alternative can only be a conversion of the 250 euros into a wage increase of 0.0875 euros per hour, based on 38 hours per week.
- The 2025-2026 protocol agreement for electricians lets companies choose between two scenarios. In one, eco vouchers disappear from 1 October 2026, with a last grant for the reference period from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026; in the other they are kept. Ask your employer which scenario applies.

How do eco vouchers work?
Eco vouchers are free of social security and tax, up to 250 euros per year. You can only use them for ecological products and services, and they are valid for 24 months. If you work part-time or were not employed for the whole reference period, you generally get a proportional amount; the sector agreement sets the details.
