Nuances from the agreement
- The food industry concludes its agreements on shift and night work per subsector. So there is no percentage that applies to the whole of PC 118. The figures below come from the sector fiche for the meat subsectors (agreements of 13 December 2023, tacitly renewed each year).
- Meat products, sausages and meat derivatives: a 10% wage supplement for the shifts from 06:00 to 14:00 and from 14:00 to 22:00; night work between 22:00 and 06:00 gives 20%.
- Fat rendering plants: at least 10% per hour for the morning and afternoon shift, 20% for night work. Poultry slaughterhouses: 10% for the afternoon shift and for a successive, rotating morning shift (otherwise 0.61 euros per hour since 1 January 2024), 20% for night work. The shift and night supplements are not cumulated.
- Casing factories and slaughterhouses: fixed minimum amounts per hour, 0.61 euros for the morning shift and 0.69 euros for the afternoon shift since 1 January 2024; in casing factories the night supplement is 10% with a minimum of 2.40 euros per hour. These amounts follow the smoothed health index since October 2023.
- Bakeries, breweries, dairy, chocolate and the other subsectors have their own agreements with their own, mostly indexed amounts. They are not in this fiche; look up your subsector in the FOD agreement database or ask your union.
